I was hoping after replacing the drive to see if I can get any money back on the old drive, but if it no longer shows errors I don't think that is possible (plus I bought it online from a 3rd party seller). My question now is how can it change from caution back to good? I didn't do any tests on the drive like chkdsk, defrag, etc. The reason I came here is because I have not gotten responses since the drive has now returned to a good condition and I figured no one at the other forums were going to revisit my post since they already gave me answers. I also posted in reddit as I figured posting in two places would get me a 2nd opinion, like you said, or at least an answer cause a lot of times I don't get answers and I wanted to get this resolved quickly so I knew if I needed to get another drive. Next time I will be sure to link to other posts. Of all the computers in my house, and all the drives, I regularly check CrystalDiskInfo and this is the first time I ever got a caution. Yesterday I checked it, and it now says good and Uncorrectable Sector Count is back to 0.ĭoes that mean the drive is now ok? I thought that error meant defects on the drive so I'm not sure how it is now gone. I didn't want to take chances so I ordered a new drive, and each day kept checking CrystalDiskInfo for changes, but nothing changed. I read online, and got some other forum responses, that this is bad and drive is failing. The other day I checked CrystalDiskInfo again and got a yellow Caution sign with an Uncorrectable Sector Count of 2. No slow downs during accessing files, watching videos or video editing.

I read online somewhere that sometimes the drive spins slower if it doesn't need full speed so I ignored this.
